The 3-day Breast Cancer Walk proudly made its way through Kirkland yesterday. The 60 mile trekkers (approx 20 miles per day) were easy to spot with pink tents and many participants in fun and outrageous pink costumes, laughing and waving at bypassers along the way. It was very well organized too-I noticed volunteers directing traffic and at frequents spots along the route with misting spray, stickers, lollipops, waters,
etc to keep everyone motivated. What a great event to raise funds and awareness for this cause that impacts so many! Photos are from Heritage Park and in the Market Neighborhood. ~j

I didn't know about the walk because I've been out of the country for 2 weeks but all I know is my first day to get some coffee there was a huge amount of people decked out in pink for the run. It took me at least 15 mins because the line was out the door at the Starbucks in Juanita Village.
I hope they did well though!
