This place open and closes faster than I can read the signs. But they are definitely open again because we had lunch there today. And I've got to say, they have really good burgers. The menu has been completely simplified and there's nothing over $4 (we had the avocado burger- click to enlarge the menu below). A house burger is $2.75. I can find that in change underneath my car seats if I dig long enough.
When I questioned them about the abrupt 3 month hiatus, they said the big snow
storms hit them hard. Without steady traffic they had a lot of food to throw away (they used to offer wings, pastas, burgers, and salads) and the waste was very costly so they couldn't afford to stay open. Now they have re-grouped a bit and are determined to make it work. Everything else is basically the same- it's kind of a quirky little place with friendly service, funny music and offbeat decor but Brady was dancing in his seat and scarfed down his whole burger so it keeps the kids happy. ~j

Which restaurant is this? I'd love to help spread the word. We can all use some help with promotion while things are tough!
Thanks

I was wondering where this was too and the pictures looked familiar. I looked it up in Yelp: http://www.yelp.com/biz/2ch-kirkland

I've been into every incarnation of this location (liked the Greek the best) and feel sorry for the current owners that are on their third try at making something out of a pretty bad location. Good place to take the kids for something a little better than the McDonalds. Maybe the Juanita Beach traffic in the summer will help out.

My boyfriend and I went there last night and we loved the burgers! Super reasonable prices and tasty food. I had the mushroom burger with grilled onions and curly fries and my boyfriend had a bacon cheese burger with normal fries and both were so good. We payed using a debit card. It must have been a temporary problem with the machine.
I like the simplified menu and I hope that come summer foot traffic comes through their doors.

Went and tried it for lunch today with a friend. Pretty good burger and great price. The place was totally empty when we went in though (around 12:30) which isn't a good sign.
I'd like to go back and take the kids sometime as a nice change from Ruby's.

Went there last Friday. Almost empty but burgers are cheap and first class - as well as the shakes and fries!
These guys just need better market themselves. The best chance for good business is likely on weekends when they should be able to tap into the large crowds that walk/run/bike past this place. How about a BIG sign out in front of the door? Or, tap into the folks that are always waiting for the bus outside. Many just do not know the place is open...
There is NO OTHER place nereby where you can have a bite to eat / ice cream, walk down to the park and sit and ejoy it in the sun - watching the bald eagles over the bay.
They DO take credit cards (at least MC/VISA) so no cash needed.

I totally agree, great spot for the kids to stop by. I am thrilled they settled the Visa deal!!!!! Yippee, I hope they make it.

Love to hear what's going on there, as well as a couple other spots. Heard Yummy Pho, waterfront, was to become Asian Kitchen near the end of last month but noticed no movement there either. Is Ben and Jerry's moving since they and the restaurant seem to be the only occupied places in their shell of a building. What's happening here in Kirkland with all the small restaurants?
