Aaarrr Matey! Capt. Jack's 8K Treasure Run & Walk is 4/10

 
Run, Jack, Run!!  You've still got a week to sign up for a voyage around Juanita that is sure to land you hidden treasures.  Capt. Jack's 8k starts at 8:30 am on Sunday April 10th at the gravel lot and grasslawn directly across from Juanita Beach Park.  The expedition takes you on a moderately hilly loop through Juanita/Kirkland and ends up back at the park.  Over 400 speedy and pokey pirates have already signed up and jumped at the chance to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma/Team in Training Foundation, but there's room for more. Be forewarned--there is NO race-day registration so ready your sword and call Lance at Everyday Athlete to register by 4/9: 425-821-4301 or do it online. It'll only run you 35 fish-smacks and although the emphasis is on fun and over 100 jewel-sized prizes, you will also be dressed with a timing chip so you can monitor your sea-worthy pirate speed. Parking your ship may be a bugger, so be a green pirate and carpool with one of your one-eyed friends. Treasures will abound, you'll be glad you did this matey. ~j
