As I walked around the neighborhood this evening with my kids racing from door to door filling their bags of loot- I thought, "Isn't it amazing that so many people buy into this Spooktacular holiday?" I mean, really, who convinced everyone on the planet to open their doors to strangers and toss them some candy? It's great. My kids are excited, and bless the neighbors, they kept my wine glass full and made sure we could have some potty stops en route as well.
Now I'm trying to think of what we should do with all this candy. My kids literally filled their bags, dumped them in Steve's backpack, and then filled their trick-or-treat bags AGAIN. The photo of their windfall on my counter is photographed to the left. I'm guessing Hopelink won't take this food which has no nutritional value. My thighs cry out for the Peppermint Patties ( I don't know why that synthetic mint taste is so appealing to me) and you can never go wrong with M&M's. But gummy hamburgers? Not my style, however, it was my 4 year old's first choice. What do you do with all of your candy? Have a fave? I'm curious to hear your stories.............. we save ours to sneak into the movie theaters.............don't tell. ~j
